Christmas is just around the corner. It has become a secular holiday and people celebrate it all around the world. It's a symbol of joy and happiness. So, today we are going to talk about "Christmas Plans". Think about the following questions beforehand and feel free to share your views with us in class today.
Q1: When is Christmas Eve? When is Christmas Day? Why do people celebrate Christmas?
Q2: What is “Feliz Navidad’? Do people say “Happy Christmas” instead of “Merry Christmas”?
Q3: Which one is correct? “Xmas” or “X’mas”?
Q4: Do you know some Christmas customs or traditions? For example, most families will buy a real tree or a fake tree and put it up at their houses.
Q5: Do you know what people usually do on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?
Q6: Do you celebrate Christmas? Do you feel any Christmas spirit in Taiwan? Any memorable experience?
Q7: Do you know what is a “mistletoe”? When two people meet each other under a hanging mistletoe, what do they usually do?
Q8: How much do you know about Santa Claus? For example, where is he from? How does he send gifts? Can any kids receive gifts? How do children receive gifts from Santa? Do you believe in Santa Claus?
Q9: When is “Boxing Day”? What do people usually do on Boxing Day?
